The Pull My Fingers

The Pull My Fingers is a four-man rock band from Tampere, Finland, founded in late 2020. The band’s debute single Factory / Wonder if the Man’s Still Alive will be released as a 7” vinyl in late 2021/early 2022 by record company Hiljaiset Levyt. The A-side Factory will be out in major digital services in September 2021. Check it out.

The main idea of the band is to make good music (no shit?), simply put to write and play timeless, often melodic songs. Some have even called these songs catchy. The other noble purpose is to restore the status of electric guitar (remember this funny ancient six-string instrument you sometimes heard on the radio some decades ago?) People have mentioned classic rock bands like the Kinks, the Byrds and Pink Floyd when describing the Pull My Fingers’ music, but also the edge of punk/alternative/art rock can certainly be heard in their playing.

As you probably guessed from above, the members of the band aren’t actual teenagers anymore. Marko Kantola (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Pauli Nurmi (guitars), Joppe Vento (bass, vocals) and Laiska Lajunen (drums) have played gigs and recorded music in numerous (mostly indie-) bands and projects during last more than 30 years.

The band will start playing gigs (probably first in Tampere, later hopefully all over Finland and Europe) soon. Follow this site and stay up to date.
